Reverend Amy Northridge

Pastor

Rev. Amy Northridge joined us as our Associate Pastor in October 2022 after serving as our transitional pastor starting in May 2021.

Pastor Amy graduated from The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg with a Master’s of Divinity in 2012 and has served the past 9 years as a Pastor at Rohler’s and Salem Lutheran Churches in Dover. Prior to this Pastor Amy served in Hainesport, New Jersey and served as a summer Chaplain primarily in the dementia units at Bethany Village in Mechanicsburg. She served as the Deacon of Spiritual Nurture during her years at Susquehanna University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Religion. And she also has a deep love for camping ministries and served as both a summer camp counselor and program director at Camp Nawakwa.

Pastor Amy is married to Pastor Jason Northridge who serves St. John Lutheran Church in Mount Wolf, and they have a son Freddie.

When not doing ministry, Pastor Amy finds deep joy in baking, watching movies, crocheting, playing board games and has a deep love of almost anything Disney.

“As the Associate Pastor at Mt. Zion, I have the joy of working closely with our families and youth. And it makes me feel like Mt. Zion is a grace-filled ministry playground. Whether we’re hitting the fields for games or holding one another in prayer — I’m always in awe at how vulnerably the people of Mt. Zion share of themselves. Christ calls us to be one body — and here at Mt. Zion the body of Christ is alive and, on the move, serving others, engaging in God’s Word, and holding one another in prayer. It is a joy and privilege to get to walk alongside such a loving community.”

Mr. Denny Daugherty

Denny holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Messiah University in Mechanicsburg, PA where his studies concentrated on Percussion Performance and Church Music as well as a minor in Computer Science. His professional experience spans both music and technology. As a percussionist he regularly performs throughout the Central PA area and is a member of the York Symphony Orchestra. As a technologist, Denny specializes in cloud computing and has worked with a number of large global companies.

Denny is supported by his loving wife, Olivia, who is herself an accomplished musician. They have two sons, James and Christopher, and two cats. When not juggling calendars, Denny likes to stay active and enjoy all that God’s creation has to offer whether experiencing it through hiking, cycling, kayaking, running a triathlon or other adventures! He is also an avid social dancer and can be found dancing at various swing and blues events in the area.

“I am blessed and honored to be a part of the ministry of Mt Zion. This is a special community of believers who genuinely care for and support each other, always striving to share the love of Christ with each other and our neighbors.” Soli Deo Gloria.

I am amazed at the way they reach out to each and every person within the church and within the community and how they make every individual feel welcomed and loved."
