Join the Tech Team ~ We are looking for volunteers to join the team which runs sound and video for Sunday morning worship services. Training is available, and no prior experience is required. INCLEMENT WEATHER PROCEDURE UPDATE:
In an effort to further clarify existing inclement weather cancellation procedures, Church Council has voted to enact the following procedures:
  • If inclement weather is expected in the overnight hours prior to Sunday morning, a decision regarding the 8 AM service and Sunday school will be made by 9 PM on Saturday evening.
  • ​If the 8 AM service is cancelled, any activities, classes, or meetings during the 9 AM hour are also cancelled.
  • On Sunday morning, a decision regarding the 10:30 service will be made based on weather, parking lot, and road conditions.
  • In the event of surprise inclement weather, we will make every effort to make a timely decision on Sunday morning regarding the 8 AM service.
In all cases of inclement weather, updates regarding the cancellation of services will continue to be announced in the following ways:
  1. ​We will update the church voicemail (717-755-6117).
  2. We will update the church website (www.mtzionucc.org).
  3. ​We will update the church facebook page.
  4. We will update the online listing at www.wgal.com under their "closings and delays". Please note that WGAL will not list these closings on television.
​The safety of our members is always a primary concern. When deciding whether or not to attend services during questionable weather, please use your best judgment and be safe.


​From Your Financial Secretary: To all members of the congregation, if you don't remember your envelope number, please list your FULL name, first and last, on your pew envelope, special offering envelope, or any other envelope you use. If you only list your last name there may be other members with the same last name and you may not get credit for your contribution. In regard to that, married couples that are members should list the husband's full first and last name on the envelope. Reason being, if a husband and wife are both members, our software is designed to look at the husband as the primary contributor and he receives the envelope number.
